Adding a Supplemental League

Admittedly, I'm swamped with pre-release activity, but want to get this out there for a little help in planning, once I can import my existing league from v16.

I've experimented in the past with creating- right out of the gate -a league of roughly AAA quality at its top tier (at best), where older AAA players might go to play out their careers, young prospects with average talent might find a place to more likely have star-like career potential, and of course, one that might create a gem or two worthy of moving to or being traded to my league of the ML level.

Have any of you done this with a fair to better success rate? Procedure, settings, organization, thoughts? Would an existing MLB international league or such qualify? How have brought that kind of league into the world with your own at a later date?

Thanks in advance. And here's to a great v17 release for everyone!!

I've been considering doing the same and I'm equally as interested in what others have to say.

It sounds like just a better independent league. You could probably just use the same settings of independent leagues, but change the quality/caliber of the league to one or two levels above.

I have a league setup with something similar. The key is having players limited to short (one or two year) contracts which allows the ML to more easily access the top tier of Indie players.

Like mentioned this just exactly what independent league is for. Also ex ml players that not one wants anymore can go and die there
