Crash bug when trading...

I've had OOTP5 crash on me a few times when I was in the trading window requesting a "counteroffer" from my computer friends. I just get a windows error and poof game kicks out to desktop. I dont think its my system specs (since they're well above standards) but I'll run them down for you anyways:

WinXP, AMD2100+ , 512Ram, 43+ Gig HD space free
Asus GeForce4 Ti4400, Creative SB Audigy Gamer

Did you have a lot of programs running while you played OOTP?

What version of Direct X do you have as well?

Trying to get a handle on it for you. Is 3D Graphics enabled/disabled?

Give me a yell . I will help however I can.

More info...

Nothing else is running when Im using OOTP5...Using DX 8.1.

This only occurs when Im requesting a counteroffer if I put up 2 of the computers players. When I put up 1 person and request a counteroffer it works just fine...then if I add a second player on their side and request a counteroffer it crashes. Pretty certain that this isn't graphics related in anyway...

Ok. You need to have at least 8.1b, or the latest version 9.0 of Direct X. That is probably the problem.

Upgrade and see what happens.

Upgraded and ...

Ok, I upgraded to DX9 and no longer see my original problem, but only to a certain degree.

Before DX9: It would crash whenever I had up 2 computer players that I didnt really want to trade and I requested a counteroffer.

Now: When I have a 2 for 2 trade up in the window (that the computer thinks is fair) and put up a third guy on the computer side to request a new counter-offer it crashes again...Theres definitely something wacky going on in this offer/counteroffer stuff

it happened to me too. I made a trade, the AI counter-offer I hit the counter - offer a second time and the crashed, send me to the desktop.

Same here. And I have DX 9. My specs are similar to those above.
