I'll probably do my usual thing lurking in the chat, but I have offsite commitments from 7 to 9 so I might be a bit late.

With the new feature "Defined team needs for trades", will this also improve the players on the trading block function? Because in all the past versions it never worked as intended.

I already tried getting the GM job for the MIA Marlins using OOTP16 and my championship dynasties as a reference.
They told me I was OVER-qualified.

Last year's player pop-ups and award icons were one of the best "little" features. What little surprises will we get this year?

Hi Matt,

How soon can we expect OOTP to allow uniform numbers on the jerseys? Any updates on this?

Thanks!

Will we see AI teams retire uniform numbers more often in 17? I thought it was a little too strict in 16. I posted a few examples, but there were a number of players spending 10+ seasons on a team and holding many club records yet they weren't seeing their numbers retired. In one case, a player had won 4 Cy Young's if I recall correctly, all with the same club.

I'm hoping this was looked at and improved.

I'd retire more numbers but there's no way to view their prior number. As Matt said in the interview, the numbers don't save year to year so if Babe Ruth was traded to the Braves and wore a different number than 3, the 3 would not be recognized

No. We'll try to get in a stream of the new 3d movements before release, but we still need a little more time with it

it would be nice to see a glimpse of the pawns on the field before purchase. Of course, I know I will buy with the feature enabling gameplay between teams of any era. That is a really nice touch.

I didn't even realize i wanted that feature until you offered it. lol
