Separate line-ups for Doubleheaders?
I'm hoping that finally we'll get to set separate line-ups and pitchers for doubleheaders in the 7 day screen.
I don't know why a Game 1/Game 2 toggle can't use the same space. Last edited by tward13; 02-20-2016 at 10:47 AM. |

Changed the title to something less negative sounding. maybe I'll get a reply.
This had been a pain for fast simmers, online leagues and historical simmers for ages. |

It's a pain. I agree.
By the way, the thread title didn't change. |

Yes please this would be perfect. Frustrating in an online league being unable to edit the second game.

It's a little irritating, but even after all these versions doubleheaders are, in some ways, still not a fully supported and incorporated feature.

Lots of thread about "immersion" type things getting answers, but this is something that affects play and has been begged for, for many versions.
Any info from an OOTP insider? |

Online League Doubleheaders
Yes This issue was never resolved. After a rain out the game schedules a doubleheader and pitching rotations, 7 day lineups, and box scores in the schedule page are screwed up. This was reported quickly upon OOTP16 release and never fixed. Please resolve this for OOTP17. Need some sort of mechanism in the game in these circumstances to adjust rotation, lineups, etc.

Agreed, I thought by designating a spot starter in the pen the game would use the spot starter in the doubleheader.
No dice. |

For about the 6th consecutive release I wonder why this is ignored and why it would be difficult to implement.
It's something that affects all 3 types of users (MLB, historical, fictional) and just about everyone other than day by day players. |

Add me to the list of people who hope this and other issues with doubleheaders are addressed. I'm holding out hope that it's mentioned in later communications before release date. The inability to handle doubleheaders in 7-day lineups and the game scheduling a doubleheader with each game in separate cities after a rainout are probably two of my biggest problems with the game.

Sigh.
I feel like I did when I complained for years just to have the Pitcher and Line-up screens default to correct lists of pitchers and hitters. All the big stuff is really nice, but some smaller things should just work right and the handling of doubleheaders for 7 day line-ups doesn't. For year now. |
