How Far Do the Draft Pools Go?

One of my favorite features in the standard game is the use of real-life draft eligible players (Dansby Swanson, Brendan Rodgers, etc. in 2015).

What's even more incredible is that the real names/players carry on into future seasons.

Are these lists pulled from sites like Max Preps or other high school showcase sources? And how many years into the future (beginning in 2015) do the "real" prospects continue to show up.

I've done about five standard OOTP 16 sims, and one guy that always ends up having a good career is Kristofer Armstrong (switch hitting slugger--but you have to convert him from a pitcher!). Armstrong was a high school freshman in 2015, so as of the OOTP 16 release, he was at least three years from being draft eligible in real life! I'm sure the lists go deeper, but Armstrong is one guy that always seems to develop. Unbelievable feature.

There are some real guys through 2019 in OOTP16. That will be through 2020 in OOTP17. Last draft mostly full of real guys should be 2018 this year's game and 2019 next year's. To be honest some of the ratings are kinda random for the guys 3-4 years away, since it's so hard to say what they'll become, but they're based on whatever info we can get, so they aren't totally random.

We mostly use Perfect Game for HS players and tons of sources for college guys.
