Modern Day QuickStart with Several MODs including FaceGen Pics

The thanks should go to the various talented modders listed below. I just spent the time to compile it alltogether into a quickstart file so people won't have to spend the time finding and loading jerseys, logos, and facegen pictures one at a time. The game starts on Opening Day 2015 so no Phaneuf to Ottawa or Jones to Columbus. You can fix that up through the commissioner mode.

I chose to substitute Weissy's 3D logos for the NHL because I think they are the best logos around. He has many more for other leagues if you’re interested but they may be out of date since they were originally done for the FHM14: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...l#post3774490/

I've figured out how to use the quickstart file but now when I trade players they are shown with a generic jersey and not the one that is used in the quickstart. How do I reload the image with the correct jersey or upload the correct image?

I think there's a bug when trading players. In my game, the player still retains the old jersey, not the jersey of the new team. I've logged this bug and it's fixed in the next patch. That's a little different than what you're experiencing though.

What about manually selecting the picture again through the player card?

I just downloaded this quickstart. I placed it in the quick start folder but when I open the game and click on the quick start option, I see no games there at all. Am I missing a step? I extracted the ModernDay.quick folder. Should I be doing something else?

I'm sorry for the problems. I made a copy of the quickstart folder to my desktop to fix some graphics problems, thinking that it would be fine to just .zip up that folder. It seems that once the quickstart is created, you shouldn't be adding/changing graphics inside of it as the game no longer recognizes it.

Anyway, I've uploaded a regenerated quickstart. I tested it and it seems to show up for me:

I installed your Modern Quick Start folder into the Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 2\quick_start games folder. I then tried to start the Quick Start from the Main Game Menu. The Quick Start started installing but crashed the game when it was in the process of installing players at 36%.

1. Make sure FHM2 is not running.
   
2. Download and extract “ModernDay.quick.zip”. You should have a folder called “ModernDay.quick”.
   
3. Move that folder to /Out of the Park Developments/Franchise Hockey Manager 2/quickstart_games/. The location will be different depending on whether you are on Windows or Mac.
   
4. Start FHM2.
   
5. From the start screen, click on “QUICKSTART GAME”. You should see “ModernDay” listed. Click on it and you should see a description as shown in the above screenshot.
   
6. Enter a name for your game and click “OK”.
   
7. You should see a progress bar and then a popup for “Select Playable Leagues”. I left it on the default which includes all leagues and then clicked “OK”.
   
8. There should just be a quick progress bar followed by a popup for “Set Up Your Manager”. Enter your details and click “OK”.
   
9. There should now be a fairly long progress bar going through all the required steps to initialize your game including copying the graphics from the quickstart folder into your saved game location.
   
10. If it worked correctly, you should see all of the folders from “ModerDay.quick/graphics” have now been copied into your /Out of the Park Developments/Franchise Hockey Manager 2/saved_games/<Saved Game Name>/graphics folder.

I just downloaded the .zip file from DropBox and tried to create a new game again and it still seems to be working. I’m not sure why you’re getting the crash during the initialization.

Thank you, however, I am still getting a crash when I try to load your Quick Start. Does it work with the latest FHM2 patch 2.6.46?

I installed the latest update 2.7.53, and I was able to load and start your Quick Start. Thanks for your work on this and it looks great.
