Hall of Fame Eras Committees

OOTP should have the era committees like in real life to elect hall of famers.

It's a nice idea, given that a deep connection to baseball history is such a part of the DNA of this game.

Short of actually creating in-game committees that deliberated, couldn't the game simply randomly induct one historical player per year who isn't in the HOF, isn't on the ballot, and has an above-average score in two or more of the 5 HOF categories, and announce that pick as the choice of the Veterans Committee?
