How much better is OOTP5 than STB2003?

I'm debating whether or not to buy OOTP5. The thing is, I just got STB2003 for Christmas and have not gotten a lot of use out of it yet, so I am hesitant to go out (or rather, stay in) and buy a new game already.

So my question is what does everyone think of the improvements/upgrades/changes? Is there enough new stuff in OOTP5 to warrant buying it, even though last year's game is new to me?

It's a lot better. At least after 24 hours - it seems to be much much better

versions.

5 blows away 4 in my opinion, and that’s after only 24 hours with it.

It's much better. If you start a career in v4 right now with the intention of converting it to v5 later, you'll be kicking yourself for not starting it in v5 when the time comes.

OOTP5 is amazing. There are a few issues that should be taken care of once the patch comes out Wednesday.

I think everybody agrees that v5 is way better.

I grew up playing Strat-o-matic with cards for sometimes 10-12 hours a day (when we were not out playing ball). I am honestly glad this game was not out when I attended college or I probably would not have spent any time in class at all.
I have looked at other computer games online that deal with baseball and primarily stats. This game is by far the best I have seen. If you buy it just plan on letting it become part of your life because it is way too addicting. Version 5 is the best so far. Markus and crew have really outdone themselves. Buying it is a no brainer in my opinion. It is a must.

I second those opinions. 5 is awesome. The AI is much better, it's easier to navigate, and it has a great almanac, power rankinges, and much much better prospect evaluations. Shoot, it was a Christmas gift. Give it to a kid or a relate, let them get addicted, and spoil yourself rotten on OOTP5!
