Relief Pitchers

Has anyone come up with an easy solution for the SP being imported as relievers problem? Just had the 2000 draft and both Jake Westbrook and Mark Buehrle came into the league as RP since they made appearances in their first season out of the pen? Pedro is on his way to 300 saves at some point this season since his stamina never progressed past 2 out of 20.

One thing you can do is to base pitcher stamina on entire career under the historical settings.

I must have missed that during every set-up I've ever done. I'll have to double check that. Thanks.

Edit: Dammit, I just saw the option. Thanks again.

If you are playing straight historical, i recommend using 1 yr recalc vs 3 yr or entire career. This way Smoltz will become a CL for a like 3 yrs then go back as a SP. If 3 yr he will still become a CL but for less time. Career will keep him as a SP for his career. ECK would always be a CL.

I agree. I was guessing from his post that he might not be using recalc at all.
