Pick Name For Fictional St. Louis Team
I have a fictional universe loosely based off of Cephajames awesome uniform logo set. However, I have modified a few teams and have been undecided as to what I should name my St. Louis franchise. I've narrowed it down to a few names and need help selecting one. Thanks in advance for your help!

My 1871 league has the St. Louis Steamboats. That's evocative of the era for me, but it has not helped them win on the field at all

I have the St. Louis Diamonds for a fictional league playing in the 1940's. That name, too, has not helped them much.

Steamers has always been my go-to name for St. Louis. I have taken the old soccer team logo and changed it a little. Here it is:

I named mine the Riverhawks, but they haven't made the playoffs in 8 years.

I also voted for Steamers, but with the understanding that you never move the team to Cleveland.

I always struggle with this one too for some reason, but there are a lot of solid options. I like to use St. Louis Brewers. I like Hops, I haven't considered that before. Steamers is also justifiably popular. I don't know if you are doing jerseys, but you can do some fun things with all of your choices imo.
Others I've used or considered using: Maroons (after the UA team) Brown Sox (twist on Browns which came from the long tradition of St Louis teams named Brown Stockings) Aviators/Aces Saints Spirits Navigators (I like doing my own uniforms and Nav's works as a cool jersey script) Hawks/Eagles (NBA/NHL/bird mascot) Archers (Several cool ways to do this for STL imo) Stars (old Negro League team name) Royals is also fine. Cephasjames did a nice comprehensive jersey set for it as well.

Archers is a good name, but note that it would only make sense for leagues of recent vintage as the arch was built in the 1960's.

I called mine the Brewmasters, since Brewers is sort of Milwaukee property, IMO.
Also, if you end up calling them Steamers, make sure they never, ever move to Cleveland.
