Minor League team signing big free agents
I have a fictional league and around year 80 a unaffiliated single A minor team is now signing all the major free agents from the Pro league.
How do I stop this? Pro players are signing with the single A team right as free agencies start. They are 5 star guys signing minor league contracts. I looked and there a bunch of players who are signing. Last edited by dedewhale28; 10-19-2015 at 03:17 PM. |

Make sure that the team is affiliated with a major league team.
Only thing I can think of. |

How do they have the money to do that? Check the league's financials.

If I affiliate them with a team it throws off the balance of the league and some Major league teams will have two single A franchises. I think I may have to delete the teams. It would be a shame after simming 80+ seasons to now have to do that

I released all the players into free agency manually and I simmed a week and now they all signed minor league contracts with the single A teams again. WTF?
Most of them were demanding over 20,000,000 on the free agent market. Is this now a bug? |

Two suggestions:
1. Change the unaffiliated minor league into an independent league, preferably with its own financials. 2. Alternatively, change the settings so that major league teams can buy players from the unaffiliated league's teams at a fixed price. |

I figured it out. That was complicated. The original issue will hopefully be addessed. It is a shame I had to change things after 80 seasons, though.
Thanks for all your help |

This just happened to my league. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix?
Single-A teams are signing all my big-name free agents from a fictional league. |
