Start on opening night?

Is there a way to create a new game and have the game start on opening night (given that the newly updated NHL rosters are linked to opening night), without playing through the preseason and exposing rosters to changes due to AI trades and injuries?

There are plans to eventually have an 'opening night' quickstart, but I'm not sure the timeline on that. I assume it will now have moved up the priority list with the latest patch now out. Jeff could likely provide more specifics on that.

The current start date is about as early as we can go without running into trouble with other leagues' start dates (the KHL started extremely early this year since Russia's hosting the World Championships at the end of the season.) I guess it might be possible to move it up if the only playable leagues were the NHL and those that start later than it, but I've got the feeling I'm forgetting some complications that would cause.
