Despite winning the World Series, the Superbas did not rest on their laurels and initial notes have them as one of the most improved teams this offseason.

Candy LaChance tied the game up with a 9th inning sac fly and in the 10th, Socks Seybold hit a one-out homer to walk it off from Brooklyn, beating the Reds 5-3.

It took 12 innings but the Pirates outlasted the Superbas, beating them 5-4.

Bill Carrick probably just pitched himself off the team.

Brooklyn had a 9-0 lead at one time and by the time Carrick came in to pitch the 9th it was 9-2 over the Reds.

Then they scored 8 times to win 10-9.

A very sloppy game between two very good teams, but Brooklyn came out ahead, beating the Pirates 5-4.

Ryan Tillis was the only player on either team to have two hits.

The Brooklyn defense had some issue stoday but they more than made up for it with their bats. The Superbas hit FOUR home runs today, including two by Pat Moran, one of which was a Grand Slam!

Moran had 6 RBI altogether. Th either home runs were by Socks Seybold and Rezaul Ali.

They beat the Beaneaters 13-9. 6 of the Boston runs were unearned.
