Deleting a league

How exactly do I delete a league? I messed up the first one I created, but there seems to be no option to delete it. When I manually deleted the folder, it seemed to mess up the game. I got an error message about the player database, and the game still wouldn't let me create a new league with the same name as the deleted one. What gives?

You can delete a league by going to your main OOTP 5 folder and simply single-clicking the league you wish to remove and hitting your delete button. At this time there is no option to delete a league while OOTP is active.

a problem occurs when doing this where when you go to load league (if you had deleted it manually), youll get an error message.

It is very simple just DON'T delete the "last league open when the game was open", otherwise you will get the error message. But you can delete any other(it also isn't wise to delete the "career2003.lg" that came with the game).

Unfortunately I learned that the hard way.

Accessing Leagues to Delete

How exactly do you access the leagues you want to delete? When I click on my OOTP folder, I either get a message that says it can't be opened or the game begins. Once, after installing the 5.10 patch, I saw all the various leagues and their folders, but even after reinstalling the patch, I cannot find those folders again. Thanks to whoever can help. I would like to cover up, even to myself, the substantial learning curve those defunct leagues represent. Best,

John

It's probably in C:\Program Files\400 Software Studios\OOTP5

The league files will be leaguename.lg
