Retired due to injury - do I pay the salary?
Ok so my guy retired in the offseason due to an injury. Am I on the hook for the remaining salary? Also, he is still on my active roster. Does he just come off eventually or do I need to hold him on the DL until the offseason?
PS. Just got the game. Already in financial trouble

If he retired he should be removed from your roster and his remaining salary should not count. Seems odd that he is still on your roster tho...

Players will announce they are retiring at the end of the season but they will be on your roster and payroll until they do.
You are responsible for his salary. Put him on the DL and leave him there. If you put him on the 60 day you get the 40 man roster spot. If he has multiple years left you will only pay this season, he will retire after the WS.
