Has anyone had success with the Padres

Having such a high team payroll and an owner who gives you no money for extensions and a very small budget (less than what the current payroll is) has made it impossible for me to win.

If you have had success share your tips!

Ive had them do all sorts of things while I was managing other teams and the Padres in 2015. They've won the WS, lost the WC game, had the worst record in baseball, and once, traded for Chris Sale. Ive done them at least 3 times. and they usually finish around 78-84 wins. I don't know what to do to help in season, but I wouldn't resign Justin Upton, because he always turns into an albatross. Keep Shields though, he ages gracefully.

I played with them for 2 seasons until evolution ruined my game. I forgot to turn it off.

I won over 90 games the first season and actually lost to the Tigers in the WS. In the 2nd year I lost in the WC round.

I know I traded Shields and Kemp before I even played 1 game. Let Upton walk after the season.

Josh Johnson and Brandon Morrow were wonderful for me. I also resigned Ross and Cashner to long term deals.
