In order to speed the game up after each season I delete replays and messages from my saved game file. Does anyone know if deleting game logs and box scores (news file) after each season will affect totals for the players?

You can safely delete those files. Also, when you delete the message, also delete the messages.dat file. Don't worry, it will rebuild as a clean file.

As Bluenoser says it's ok to do that. If you want to semi automate this process copy the text below into a text editor and name the file boxlogdelete.bat. Place it in the root folder of any league. Batch files are executable. When you double click it will run the script and delete all the files indicated.

Obviously you should back up your league file before deleting anything. I delete message.dat manually.
