The Official "Thank You, Markus" Thread
I just wanted to give a huge thank you to Markus and the entire .400 Software Studios team.
I've already downloaded GeForce's roster set and have started the first OOTP5 franchise thread at BBSC. I've been looking forward to this day for some time and I know that thousands of other people have been as well. So far, this game looks outstanding, and is certain to provide the best baseball sim on the market, as it does every year. .400 Software Studios has proven you don't have to be a heartless multinational corporation skimping on costs to put out a cheap product. They listen to their customers and make changes based on the wishes of the masses. I shouldn't even call them customers. They're more like fans. You have THE BEST PRODUCT ON THE MARKET and I want to thank you on behalf of everyone who is playing it right now, and the less fortunate who have to wait til they get home later today. THANK YOU!!!

Thanks for giving us such a great game. I haven't even tried it yet (I downloaded it at work here), but I'm sure I'll be playing it all night!

All I can say so far is WOW !
Thankyou for the time well spent on details. There was obviously more time put into the game other than just a new look. I have been surfing through the program and am amazed at the new changes. I just imported my OOTP4 league. Easy to do and looks so much better. Great job to all (Markus, Steve & all the other betas and progammers and graphic artist) |

I don't often post here -- I'm a big lurker -- but I do want to add my personal "Thank You" to Markus. It's a super game, made all the more special because of the constant tweaks and improvements, as well as the unflagging help from this online community. I have wasted many hours playing this game and I intend to waste many more.
Thanks, Markus. You done good. |

This game is testament to the amount of time and thought you have put into this franchise. Your skill as a game developer has increased greatly from each new release. Thank you, and I only hope I can create a software product in quality that resembles yours.

I haven't downloaded the game yet. Will do later tonight. But I totally agree, Markus and Team deserve a BIG THANK YOU for the excellent work and quick responses they have given to customers of the OOTP family.

As always Markus, Steve and Co.- thanks so much for...
(a) the lack of sleep I will experience over the next 48 hours! And I just bought a Select Comfort bed- yikes!!!! (b) my wife giving me those "You're insane and in need of intervention" looks. (c) the lack of progress on my kitchen and bathroom remodelling this weekend. (d) my sore back, butt and neck from sitting in front of the PC almost all weekend long. (e) Hoping I don't get fired after my first season in manager mode running the Detroit Tigers (yes, the owner is a "bad dude"). Now I know what Alan Trammell is going through!!! (f) having my daughter bring down food and water for her dad as he ponders how to get the Tigers to .500 ball with 99% of the season remaining. (g) making sure I have no reason to walk outside all weekend (supposed to get some snow here in Minneapolis). And most importantly.... Thanks for OOTP5! It flat-out rocks!!!!

Been playing since ootp2, downloaded the game about five hours ago and just came up for air. What a tremendous work of art. The game just keeps getting better and I love it more each year. Thanks for a great game.
