More feedback

Markus,

In addition to my previous post:

1. Though this is actually a technical issue, in the most current update, the bench coach no longer provides consistent lineups. Sometimes a starter will be missing and sometimes it will be a backup, but more often than not, you have to manually complete your lineups.

2. After three seasons, trading in OOTP 16 is worse worse than ever. I previously mentioned that the AI GMs rarely offer anything reasonable. In addition, even with the Trading Difficulty set to "average" and "neutral," you cannot pull off the kind of trades you see happening in MLB all the time.

For example, The 2014 Samardzija/Hammel (Cubs) for MckInney/Russell/Straily (A's) will never happen in OOTP. No AI GM will ever offer a real prospect - much less two in a any trade whatsoever. Meanwhile, the Cubs traded 2 free agency bound pitchers for 2 first round draft choices and then resigned Hammel!

Three seasons in, with an abundance of talent in triple A, I'm trying trade a couple of 31-ish still reasonable pitchers with reasonable 9 and 6 million dollar contracts. In real life they would be snapped up immediately. In OOTP 16 all I get are offers of washed up $20 million a year players.

3. Scouting Directors. Much like players clearly ask you to resign them, the same should go for scouting directors and coaches. It's too easy to miss a contract that's about to run out and then you wind up with no scouting budget for the entire year.

That's it for feedback part II. Keep up the good work!

Jeff

Last year's trade by the A's are probably not a fair basis of comparison.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Why not? Billy Beane is one of the best GM's in baseball. Last year there was also Huston Street for Jose Rondon, Mat Latos for Chad Wallach and Anthony DeSclafani, Wil Myers for Multiple Prospects, and Josh Donaldson for Brett Lawrie, Sean Nolin, Kendall Graveman and Franklin Barreto. Shall I continue.

Teams in contention, or those who believe they will be in contention, trade prospects to win now all the time.
