3D Ballparks not saving with new patch

D/L new patch and the assigned ballpark will not save. I've gone in and reassigned the park which will work that same day but when I go to the next game on schedule no ballpark just the player boxes with nothing but a dark blue background. It worked perfectly fine before new patch.

Sorry, I do not understand what you mean with you reassigned the park... also, when it works one day, I see no reason it wouldn't the next.

Sorry I wasn't very specific. When I downloaded the patch I went to play my first game with the patch and the ballpark assigned to to my team was fine. After I played out the game I advanced to the next days game to play out. I get nothing but a blue background instead of park image. I will then go back and reassign the ballpark to my team and it will be fine for that days game until I advance to the next day then same thing, no ballpark image just a blue background.

I'm also getting a lot of game crashes to go along with this new patch. I had no issues at all before. I had updated all patches except for the last 2 updates. Yes my drivers are up to date.

Hey guys! I'm new to the forums, but have been playing OOTP for years. Love it.

Anyway, I want to chime in here to say that I'm having the same issues as BCStone.

I don't have specifics on my troubleshooting yet as I've just started testing, but: I also get that same blue background during some of my 3D games, and OOTP is also freezing for me occasionally now (it hasn't done that in ages).

I will try to narrow the problems down further if I can, and post any relevant details here.

Sorry guys, no idea what is going on here. I tested it, and it works just fine.

Jorin did some work on the 3D code for this patch, but during testing nothing like this ever came up. Unfortunately, he is now on extended vacation and returns in August, so there is not much I can do here but to ask you to update your video card drivers.

My video card drivers are up to date. I never had a problem at all until this patch.

Likewise. Built my machine, have all drivers up to date. Last night I tried quite a few things to try to narrow this down -- all combos of dual/single monitors, SLI off/on, tweaked OpenGL settings in both video drivers and in OOTP, had OOTP as the only main app running, etc. The problem remains unchanged.

I've never had this "invisible ballpark" issue before this patch either. And as BC noted above, it always occurs on the second game played.

Really a bummer of an issue, since now I can only play through one game before I have to exit OOTP and restart it.

Syntin, What I do is go in before the game and reassign the ballpark to whatever park Ill be playing in. A real pain in the you know what but better than exiting the game after each game. I haven't been able to figure this out. I'm to the point of deleting the game and reinstalling to see if that makes a difference but I'll lose a lot of work. It doesn't look like it's anything that's going to be fixed for quite some time which is a downer to say the least.

I noticed this when I first installed the patch, it seems if I start the game, then "leave" the game, the park always shows up... I figure that is my workaround for now..

FYI I did a complete uninstall/install of game D/L and installed the latest patch. No difference still messing up.
