Adding Cash to trades

Sorry if this is already covered in another thread, I couldn't find one. I am trying to make a trade but the player I am acquiring makes $10 million per year more than my player. I would like to propose to the computer controlled team to include cash in the trade but that bar won't do anything when I try to click on it. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Or is there a setting that i need to check that I missed? Thank you for any help.

For some reason you can't add cash to a trade that the AI is prepared to accept. Add another of their players (that would make them decline the trade) to the trade, add the cash you want to receive, and then remove the extra player.

Perfect. That fixed the problem. Thank you very much. I wish every fix was that simple.

Or just clear the screen, add the money, press enter, then repopulate the screen with the desired players.

Pressing enter is a must.
