Game continuously Not Responding

Sorry if this is the wrong space to post this but I was not allowed to post it in Technical Support. My 16 game goes to Not Responding every time I try to play more than a day at a time. Eventually it rights itself and plays on but it is slowing my play down tremendously. I am playing on Windows 8 (which I hate). Would it have anything to do with the amount of data stored. I am in my 50th season in this replay.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

How big is your league - # of teams, minors, etc?

50 seasons is a lot of data to process, especially if it's large world.

How much are you saving, boxscores, replays, game logs? All this adds to processing time.

The "Not Responding" message is common and occurs when OOTP has heavy amounts of Data to process. You just have to wait it out as eventually the process will complete.
