There is no "real life mode" option. There are Very Hard, Hard, Average, Easy, Very Easy.

I play average. The improvements to this year's version have made it quite realistic.

I have experimented with AI favours prospects but in a current MLB situation things got wonky pretty quickly so I started over and all has been good ever since.

I agree with this a lot. I have always played average and neutral and have noticed a big difference between this year and previous years. I hear most people on this board complaining that they think they have to save the AI from itself...if anything, most of my trade offers from the AI that I think are awful from my perspective.

I think Average is the most realistic in that, as MOST of the trades are even enough. However, I play on Very Hard for the challenge and it's doable if you put in the time and know your way around the functions (such as the Shop Player button) . Even if most trades are impossible, it's still possible to make lopsided trades in your favor as you can figure out which players on AI teams are undervalued (e.g. due to a glut of players at the same position or upcoming FA's).

I have experimented with AI favours prospects but in a current MLB situation things got wonky pretty quickly so I started over and all has been good ever since.
