Draft Budget Glitch?
I have had this problem for a couple of drafts now so I figured I would post it and see if anyone else has seen anything similar or might know what the problem is. I started a historical/alternative MLB from 1871 on to 2014, importing all financials and league settings each year but without using historical transactions and each year had an amateur draft comprised of each year's rookie debuts. I took over the Cardinals in 2001 and I am now in 2022. One of my owner's goals for me this season is to have a final balance of $19 million, so I decided to break down my team, which had won four World Series titles in the last 12 years but I also had some overpaid vets getting on in years. I have draft pick trading on and I ended up with 11 of the top 12 picks and 15 in total in the 1st round. I also had over $56 million in available budget space:
![]() So I made my first offer to my first pick, Willie Baker (who wants $9 million). I offered him $8.4 million and when I clicked on Negotiate with my second pick, Steve Best, and it says I have only $39,803,267 left in available budget space: ![]() It's like it counted my offer twice. In fact, I've only been able to make offers to my first four picks: ![]() Like I said, I have seen this a couple of drafts now. Has anyone else seen this? I had almost $57 million in available budget room but I have only been able to make $28.8 million in offers. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Thanks. |

I am signing my picks now. It doubles my offer in my budget. In previous games, it seems to make the money available once the sign, though.

Yeah, sorry, looks like we're double counting the offers right now in that window. Once guys sign, then the extra piece that we counted should get cleared up. Sorry about that.

I hope so! It's frustrating to know that you have so much money available to sign draft picks only to have offers double counted. Then you have to wait a few days until the current offers have signed before you get any of that money back, which can cause you to lose draft picks by not being able to sign them in time.
