What was the first version you played?

Thought it might be fun to see where everyone started. My first was OOTP 8, which I played on the demo. The first one I actually purchased was OOTP 9 and have bought all but once since then.

You always remember your first. OOTP12, after a buddy of mine bugged me to get it. Bought everyone since then. Damn him.

That's so cool. It must be fun to see how much it's changed. Joining in OOTP 8, I have seen the game grow tremendously. Can't imagine the transition from the very beginning.

I started with 13 (no option for 13?). I've since gone on to get 15 and 16. Most fun I've ever had with a baseball game/sim!

I still have some of the old spread sheets we used for inputting league totals each season when running historical leagues. That was like ver 2. So many changes, everyone of them positive. Even when OOTP2006 came out with all its problems, it was still a step in the right direction. Just turned out to be a bigger growing pain than anticipated, but the end result has been nothing short of incredible.

We went to the first OOTP from FPS 97. We started with MicroLeague Baseball in 1984.

OOTP 16 first version played! I guess I am in the minority here as I see most of you started much earlier. Gotta say, pretty steep learning curve, but I am used to it now. Addictive gameplay.

I really find this game to be very realistic, because playing as the Blue Jays, bad things always find a way to happen just like IRL. Important injuries happen at the wrong time? check. No bullpen pitching? check. Untimely hitting? check. Typical Jays.

I finally got them into a wildcard spot in 2016!! , and they promptly lose in the one game series. Now in 2018 still trying to get them back into the playoffs for the second time.

OOTP 11. Found it for $5 at a Half-Price Books, later discovered mods, now have every version since OOTP 14, which is still my favorite.
