Updated/improved loading time quotes and communication

Hi,

Love the game, been playing every version since... I think 13? Not sure. A huge, huge thank you for the thousands of hours of entertainment so far, and I look forward to the future thousands of hours!

I have two suggestion for future version. One is more of a cosmetic one, while the other is a game play suggestion.

1. The quotes that we see during load screens are very entertaining and a brilliant idea. But 40 seasons in, I've seen every quote about 100 times. What if they could also show different individual and team records, that changes as the game world change? For instance, in the World Series 2018, player x, did y which broke the old record of z.

Or, in 2020, player x broke team y's record in z, with 202 wins.

etc. etc.

2. I would like to be able to communicate a bit with my manager. Sometimes I wanna ask him why we're doing poorly. What does he need from me to get the best record he can out of the team?

Those are the two I can think of at the moment. Again, thanks for a great game!

I want to tell the manager I think he should play Jim more...and if Jim doesn't start getting playing time I will fire him and find a manager who will play Jim.

Just an FYI - you can edit the quotes yourself if you like.

The txt file is located in OOTP/Data/misc and is named "hints"

Open it with any text editor and change anything you like. Add more, delete some, reword them.

NOTE - Always make a backup copy of the original prior to editing.

We had to cut the number of quotes down this year due to a variety of reasons. Previous years had more quotes As for improving them, let me just say I had a similar idea a few months ago, and had a little bit of free time last week. The unfortunate part is the next patch isn't due for a bit.

The second point is definitely something we want to look into more. We had a good effort in adding more more personality to the front office this year, the next step is to add more feedback, like what was suggested here.
