Do you have to start at the bottom of the ladder??

I would like to do a season by managing or General managing a major league team, but I just get offers from the rookie leagues to single A teams. Is there a way around this? I was hoping to just jump in with real teams and not do a fantasy draft league. Do I HAVE to go to the minors first??

You can select a team when you start a new game. Or you can go into commissioner mode and choose a team.

Ok, I figured that out and applied for the GM job of the Astros, but will me using the commissioner mode compromise the other teams in any ways if I stick strictly with the Astros?

Once you're GM, take yourself back out of Commish mode.
