Free Agent Question
So, I've been updating the stock rosters and was adding the more recent Cuban defectors to my free agent ranks. I am playing in Commish mode and used the editor to remove them from their Cuban teams and they aren't showing up in the Free Agent screen. Any ideas?

I'm at work so don't remember the exact name of the tab, but rather than free agents are they being posted to the International Free Agent list?
It's a different tab on the same league transactions page as free agents, waivers, trades.....since they're international professional players entering MLB for the 1st time, isn't that where they should be going? |

The Cuban league is set to not allow free agents to leave the league. They're probably only showing in the Cuban league's free agents list.

This seems like it should be something that is addressed with the rapid movement of Cuban players leaving the country as of late. Hopefully Markus or someone will see this and make it possible? Edit... I'm gonna experiment with using the editor to assign the handful of players to an American Independent league and then releasing them from that team. Maybe that will get around the issue?? Ok, that work-around does work successfully if there's no other way?

edit: just thought of a faster way, you can 'clone' them (they should automatically be added to mlb free agent list), and then delete the original players.
yeah, you can go one-by-one and add them as a free agent to any of your leagues. free agent draft is an option afterward. now that the embargos are or will be lifted, the cuban league rules will likely be more like other international leagues relative to posting players and such.
