Interesting Contract

Here's the situation. I have a fictional league, and one of my owners goals was to extend Pat King. He isn't all too good, and his demands were outrageous, so I let him walk. When I got a notification saying he was signed, I looked at his contract, saw a 1 year contract with a 1 year vest. I traded a bad prospect for him, and at the end of the season I got a notification that his option failed to vest. I forgot what the option depended on, and when I looked I found this. 40 Plate Appearances for a closer... What a weird contract.

I'd think that should count as a bug. No pitcher would ever take a vesting option dependent on PA.

Very true! The computer generated names in this world are wild. "Long Beach Lightning Sharls, El Paso Thrashers, Virginia Beach Allouettes, Denver Danes, etc."
I know they are standard in the game just some weird combos
