Trading for position in offseason draft

Currently, I don't see this option.

Not sure if this happens in real life, but would be a nice option in OOTP!

Doesn't happen but you can Trade Draft Picks but I don't see it happen in Draft but would be nice. So let's say Yankees who like let's say have the 88th Pick and are afraid a Team ahead of them are going to take like Bobby Bonds like the Giants at 85th Pick might have to move up to get him like to maybe 84th Pick.

I might be wrong, but I think the trading draft picks logic in OOTP goes something like this:

Trading away your draft picks will give up your pick in a round first, then give up your remaining picks in ascending order.

Say, for example, you finished 15th/30, and thus have the 15th pick in each round of the draft. Then you traded for the #1 and #30 picks in round 1, while also having your #15 pick in round 1. If you talked to some AI team, and offered them your first round pick in a trade, it'd trade them your original #15 pick. If you offered them another 1st round pick in a new trade, it'd give them the #1 pick you acquired. Then the 30th, etc.

If you're trading for picks, it'll acquire the team's natural pick first (in the above example, the #15 pick), then give you their remaining picks in ascending order, much like if you were trading them away.

This facet of OOTP could use some work for sure, but it hasn't really been a priority as far as I know. I know I recommended it for 16, and I think 15 too. Maybe even 14?

Ok, I have discovered that I can only trade picks in the offseason, and not during.

Now that I know this feature is here, this suggestion can be closed.

Thanks to those that replied!
