Calling all Game of Thrones fans, was wondering if anyone has or would be willing to create the fictional houses as baseball teams with logos/caps/ jerseys.

If anyone is interested i am excited to see how some of the teams come out.

Justafan did an entire set of glossy logos. I believe they are in his thread.

Exactly what era of are you looking for? Modern, 1950's,1920's what?

This project would need a full time artist!! You've got the great houses banners covered above, but you could go crazy and start doing the noble houses. If we had a modern version of the Westeros Database (I don't have the time or patience to rebuild it), I could see a Westeros Major League with each of the seven kingdoms having their own minor leagues feeding their great house.

Is the general plan here to create 9 countries with unique name sets? So we get like Orys Selmy from Summerhall, Stormland and Eddard Snow from White Harbor, The North playing for the Lannisport Lions?

I have been searching for a GOT quickstart for some time. Would even love an online league.

I am very interested! Can help if needed. Game of thrones is my religion haha (even have a tattoo). I am not great with graphic work, however.

Hey, there was a Westeros file a while ago but it was in the old format (all CSV files). I have started to edit a file for names. I have been using data from Game of Thrones mod for Crusader Kings II. I have almost finished the Westeros names list.
I have separated each of the realms into a separate nation ie Northman separate from Stormlanders etc.
The problem is that the database is going to be fairly small and if you want a big league (or multiple leagues) you will start to get some repetitive names. So you are limited in that you could have one league in the North and one in the Riverlands but with the number of players needed you would end up with the lots of Starks, Boltons etc. The best way would be a league of say 12-16 teams scattered over Westeros.

After I have finished with the names I will work on the actual nations and cities. I have done this before and created a database based on EVE Online which works pretty well

There is also a limitation on the names of Essos based players because there are very few names to work with. It would be either limited to Westeros only or Westeros with a few Essos players but again if you had a league based on Essos you would end up with really repetitive names.
There might be a way around this if you tried to create names for Esssos that sounded similar to the ones in books etc. and then fill it out a bit more. This would be a time consuming job but if there was some demand for it I could share the ones that are used in the CK II mod.

I will post my files when I have finished.

I have tried to make jerseys and logos etc but never really had great success so if anybody wants to make some graphics that would be cool.

I would be interested in designing jerseys and caps. Modern style though, as I am not really into designing retro unis. As well, home would be white, with road being a solid color other than gray (too dull if everyone is gray). I would base the uniforms off the glossy logos created by Justafan, and would also create team backgrounds if the desire was there. May take a little while to complete, as I have just started a Masters program. Will proceed if the interest is there.

thanks for the reference/link.... nice to see others working on similar projects.

FYI - for the vast majority of my data, I pulled it from the 'a wiki of ice and fire' website

almost all my logos are house crests as shown on those pages; and the names file is just pulled from all the names the site lists as in the books. For team nicknames, I just made up whatever seemed appropriate (usually based off the house sigil).

I have had a look and unfortunately it does not load in my version of OOTP 15. I have to give it a try on my version of OOTP13.

Does not work in either of my versions. I will have to buy OOTP 16 soon.

I really like your logos and jerseys though

Will definitely use them if you have no objections.

have at 'em.... I can't really claim much on the logos besides pulling the image from the web and running it through justafan's logo creator; but they do the job.

like I said before, if any more artistic members are GoT fans and want to take a crack at designing caps/jerseys, feel free. Mine are just home whites (with the city name) / road colors (with the nickname) in a pretty standard font.

(and definitely pick up v16... I'm usually not one to get every single incarnation, but lots of new little bells-n-whistles in this version that really add to the experience, so glad I did).
