FaceGen - Need help w/ 2016

How do I initiate facegen, so that I have the player pictures in the 2016 game? I see a message that facegen has not been initialized on the 'Players and Facegen' tab in the Game Settings.

file > settings > 3D & facegen.

change facegen (*) to 'enabled'.

restart league.

I tried that, but I have the same result (no pictures and 'FaceGen Not Initialized'). I'm sure this is simple and appreciate your patience.

On the OOTP Startup Screen, I chose settings and enabled Facegen. Then, I started a New Standard Game with the 2015 rosters. Now, in the Game Settings, I still have the 'FaceGen not Initialized'.

Can anyone help?

Could I be missing the "obvious" first step of downloading all the facegen files and putting them in one file folder? If so, where do I find this?

my game was doing the same thing, I would select enabled & it would always revert to disabled. I kept changing it & it eventually stuck.

I also disabled OpenGLshader mode. that may have done it for me.

I'm having some difficulty with FaceGen, too. I tried creating new faces for all players and they all disappeared. I discovered that if changes are made to the settings in the OOTP main screen, you have to exit and restart the game to have those changes take effect. But I'm still trying to figure out what other settings need to be adjusted so that faces will come back when I ask for all player faces to be regenerated. Advice would be appreciated.

have you disabled 3D I just posted in the Bug thread that if 3D is disabled so is facegen?

Indeed, disabling 3D in the main OOTP startup screen's settings will make facegen fail. So mpokrandt should go to that settings screen and make sure 3D is enabled. Then exit OOTP and restart it so make that change take effect. Facegen should then work. Doing that worked for me just now.

Having the same issue. When I disable 3D, Facegen becomes disabled as well. The only way to get Facegen to work again is to enable 3D. The two seem joined at the hip for some reason.

3D is cool, but it slows the game up too much. I want to disable 3D so I can sim faster while keeping Facegen.

Disable it then don't close OOTP 3D doesn't need game to restart to be turned off, then faceted works. Just remember to enable before closing game so you don't have to restart next time you open. Yes it is a hassle but that's the only way I have seen to have facegen work

Is there anywhere to download accurate Facegen images? I remember having them for OOTP15, but the ones in 16 are completely random, so I'm guessing I either need to route to some somehow or install them manually? For the life of me, I can't seem to get 16 to access any of the content for 15.
