Newbie - Completely Lost

Hi all-
I am looking to start a custom league with real players on teams of which I would have control over all. My goal is to assemble the best players from each decade and make a league with each team representing a decade. I can create the teams under custom league but after clearing the rosters of the fictional players, how do I assign real players to those teams? I just purchased OOTP15 - do I need to import files from somewhere? Where do I find these historical players?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

You should be able to import historical players or historical teams. I think players you can import from the transaction screen and teams from league settings screen.

I believe you can right click and sign a player. Cant remember if you have to be GM or not.
