Suggestion: It's great that the Expanded Standings view includes Pythagorean win-loss records, but it would also be cool if OOTP could add Baseball Reference's
Simple Rating System values as an additional column to the Expanded Standings view. (See screencap;
here's a High Heat Stats article with some background for those unfamiliar with it..)
This is another, more meaningful Power Rankings-type measurement which consists of two components --
team run differential (which is the basis of Pythagorean) and
strength of schedule (i.e. it takes into account and adjusts for the quality of opponents that have been played; facing good teams is worth more than a schedule heavy on also-ran opponents).
It's easy to understand -- the higher the better; 0 is the always the median, etc. It conveys meaningful information to the user, particularly in mid-season (e.g. team A is in 2nd place and team B is 3rd, but team B actually has the higher SRS because team A has mostly played 2nd-division opposition so far while team B has been going through the toughest part of their schedule, and holding their own). It's also very telling for leagues with unbalanced schedules. And it's a really simple calculation for OOTP. Hopefully this won't be viewed as too much work.
