Trading suggestion
Rather than constantly having to guess...could each 10/5 player submit a list of teams they are willing to go t0? (If any)

I do wish there was some form of dialogue with the players. Sometimes you feel so distant.

So to be realistic we should have some idea of what % of deals occur with full player knowledge.

But I agree a Rollins exception would be cool.

Rollins waived his 10/5 rights to be traded to the Dodgers.

i meant the first part, but I got it now. Yes it would not be a list
But he could say that he did not want to be traded to any team.

If there are no teams...then the list is empty, but usually these guys have a list of teams they will/won't go to. Yes, there are exceptions to every rule, and surprises are a good thing too.....but this would be a way to gauge. Take one of your 10/5 guys and go from team to team...it's the only way you can figure out who they may be OK being traded to...very time consuming and frustrating...it could be part of my idea for a "Trade Hub" screen outlined here:
What about a "trade hub" screen, where each team is represented, and underneath the team are two clolumns...one stating the teams needs, the other, a list of players the team is willing to trade (this instead of the trading block...and "Shop player function") Essentially, when a team places a player in this category....they are in reality shopping the player. It is from this "hub", where trade negotiations can/should begin. From here, there would be a couple of ways to negotiate...1. Immediate feedback...(and I'd like to get rid of the corny:are you kidding me" and so on) where the proposal is either accepted, or rejected...if it is rejected, a small amount of feedback could be given, and/or the AI could conduct a counter proposal if it's even interested at all. Talks can't last forever, so this brings me to my second negotiation avenue...the old back and forth...which could take a day. Counter proposals or flat out rejections, or acceptance would be part of this also, but just a bit slower. What do you guys think? EDIT: It can also affect rumors, and storylines, which would really add to immersion. |
