Trading block
How is the trading block feature supposed to work? I put guys on the trading block all the time and never get any offers for them. Plus other teams rarely put players on the block. I'm assuming there's something in league settings I may be missing?

Good question
Thats a good question. It came up for me earlier and I'm going to put someone on the block. Nothing happened for you?

I don't think I ever used that. I use the "shop around" feature but not the "trading block"

Trading block just seems moribund. It seems to have little functionality.

It would be great if next edition, teams made a lot more offers on trading block players, and put their own players on when it made sense (e.g. a veteran in his last year of a contract) so that we didn't have to seek those guys out manually as much.

The set trading difficulty should be adjusted internally by the AI to be easier for all waived players and all players on the trading block. Teams should always take less for these players because logic says "you" (the team) has already indicated that the player is available. Nothing is more infuriating than seeing "you have no player who makes this work" on a player who has been trade listed waived and/or sent to the minors.

Trading block and display quirk
I'm in late August of a replay and although interested in a player listed on the trading block, I'm told "trading deadline has passed" when I try to proceed with a trade. What is the point then of having players listed as on the block if trades aren't doable?
Also, of late, base runners in Broadcast mode seem to disappear when they advance to second base, only to reappear when they make it to third! But in Webcast mode, the runner on second is shown. Anyone else have this happen? Thanks! |

Players can be traded after the trading deadline, but they have to clear waivers first. Any team can then claim them, so it's sometimes risky to try this.
