league modifiers fictional league

Is it normal to to use league modifiers for a fictional league?

The league is about to hit 2014 so I guess it won't matter soon, anyways, but I'm just wondering if I should have had this setting on as I was simming up it's history.

Yes. League totals and modifiers are used by default in any league that has player development/aging on AFAIK. This may sound silly but I don't know how to turn LT/LTM on or off.

Not seeing it. Can you post a screenshot? This is what I see under league settings/options.

You guys are talking about two different things

League modifiers are under the stats and AI tab which is 2 tabs to the right of Rich's arrow.

What you are talking about is historical totals which are only used to recreate historical changes from year to year. i suppose they could be used if you wanted to recreate MLB history with fictional players but I think most people use them in conjunction with historical leagues.

Thank you very much for clearing this up.

Was the setting that I was looking at appropriate for fictional leagues or would you advise against using/ setting it?

That was my point. No off button for LT/LTM. Thanks for clearing this up!

I think it would be simpler to use settings that match what you want in the league. Note that in the Stats and AI tab you can pick any year you want.
