Question OOTP Veterans

Just a quick question/poll of how many other people there are out there who have owned all 4 (very soon to be 5) versions of OOTP? I remember hearing about the 1st version on baseballsimcentral, and thinking what a great game it was when I got it. Boy, how things have changed......it is incredible how many improvements have been made since that 1st version!!! Oh well, just wondered how many other of us "lifers" there still are out there!!!

OOTP4 was my first one, and I'm ordering OOTP5 the day it comes out.

I don't remember where I first found out about OOTP4, but it has more than made up for the money I put down for it - with this community being the biggest reason.

Since OOTP2. I really started enjoying it in version three. I have been playing version 4 for the last year and I expect version 5 to hold me til version 6.

Mine was 4, but would have been 3 had OOTP been able to run on Virtual PC. I went back to PC a month or two before OOTP 4 came out.

v3 for me. I was a hardcore Mogul player at the time. I had tried DMB but it was too dry for me.

I guy named MogulFanatic mentioned OOTP on the Mogul boards.

I perused the OOTP website for about 10 minutes.

I bought it.

I uninstalled Mogul.

And DMB.

Yeah I just brushed with v3. When OOTP4 came out I spent a week of my life locked in my room four 24-packs of dew.

I was in a few BBPro leagues and then I found out about a game called OOTP3. My life has never been the same since.

Played Earl Weaver and then Lance Haffner. Looking for something better tried High Heat last year and heard of ootp on baseballsimcentral board. After a little reading I thought I'd give it a try and haven't played any other baseball game since. This game even takes me away from Madden in the winter, before ootp I never played a baseball game past early Oct and never started again until April. It has now become year round for me

I found OOTP 2 on The Underdogs site and played that for a while, and then stumbled across the OOTP 4 website and found out that not only was there a v3, but a v4 as well... And I had been playing a 2 years outdated version happily for the last two months!! Needless to say I bought OOTP 4 and have been playing ever since.

I remember downloading a version 2 demo and playing it and thinking how amazing it was. I was about to buy it... but then I realized that OOTP3 was about to come out. A waited (it was like a week or two) and bought that. I've been hooked since.

OOTP3 was it for me.

The OOTP series has been one of the few games that have kept me playing all the way up until the release of the newest one

I was also a Mogul player...but had been looking for something better (but affordable). I had seen the ads for DMB but was not willing to drop the money needed to purchase that game. Finally saw an add for OOTP3 in the classifieds of a Baseball Weekly paper so I went to the website; checked the forum out and was playing that night. Haven't looked back...or anywhere else to feed my sim needs since.

I wonder how many people gave up early on in the OOTP series. I bet a lot of them would be astonished at how amazing this game has become.

Got OOTP3 soon after it hit the market. Almost got v2 but a couple reviewers scared me away.

Same thing I was thinking. Since I bought OOTP 4 I have played Everquest, Unreal Tournament, Civ 3, Simcity 3000, Simcity 4000, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, Railroad Tycoon 2, and Warcraft 3.... OOTP 4 is the only game that has stayed installed and used on my hard drive that entire time.
