Missing unis in the reds1's 1970-Present set

Hey there!

I am running a MLB replay (similar to what George_Bell is doing) and I am in the year 1971. I usually check the teams every once in a while to make sure they are using the correct uniforms in case they didn't load the right ones.

Anyway, I go to check on the Cincinnati Reds to see if they have the correct jerseys, but they are still using their 60's threads. No problem, I think. I just click on the "Find" function and that usually fixes it. But the away jerseys are still stuck in the 60's. Odd, I think to myself. But, as usual, I click the "Find" button. But all that loads is the home jersey. Weird.

I go to check on the jersey folder. There, I find that the next away jersey available after the 61-66 jerseys is the 1993-96 away jerseys.

WHAAA????

Telling from the posters download, the following Reds jersey files are missing from the set:

jerseys_cincinnati_reds_away_1968-1970.png
jerseys_cincinnati_reds_away_1971.png
jerseys_cincinnati_reds_away_1972-1987.png
jerseys_cincinnati_reds_away_1988-1992.png

First off, I want to know what's going on here. This is obviously a HUGE gap in uniforms. This is either a technical error or a huge blunder by reds1 (no offense to reds1 of course, the uniforms are amazing).

Second, can someone provide these jersey files?

Thanks!

P. S.: On a kind-of related note, when the Cincinnati Reds change their name to the Redlegs for the 1954 season, the uniforms wouldn't load. I actually had to go into the jersey file and copy and rename the appropriate jerseys so that they would load. Another error?

I have all of those in the MLB Jersey Project-Caps-Jerseys-V2 from Reds1... Maybe you have a different release version that for some unknown reason they were omitted... Probably an oversight...

I re-downloaded Reds1 set that is in his sig. Both sets are the same from what I had and what he has. It is missing the uniforms mentioned above.

Mine had the '88-92 one, but not the other three. Thanks!

Was there one for 1967, or are the file names a bit off? Because if there was one for just that year, I don't have it.

Ok, now I've discovered another away jersey missing from the set:

Wow...

And yes, for those who've asked, I have the version 3r1 of the set.

Wait, what?

That can't be right. On the Houston Astros poster, there definately is an away jersey for that time period that's supposed to be in the set, but isn't.

Thanks for catching this oversight, skyballer. (and the Reds of all teams! )

The Reds away jerseys for 68-70, 71, 72-87 & 88-92 have been added to the set. I've added an Astros away jersey for 75-79 to the set as well, even though, as txranger notes, the home & away jerseys were one and the same.

My signature has been updated.

Sorry to have to post to this thread so late, but I've just been dying to know where that page came from. It looks very incredibly interesting.

It's taken from Bill Henderson's Game Worn Guide to MLB Jerseys.

The latest edition (1970-2015) was released just a few weeks ago, and it costs $39.99. Well worth it if you're a jersey collector or just love studying up on each team's jersey history. Also good as a guide for recreating historical jerseys in OOTP.

It is a very good and interesting guide, and I own this edition and the edition before it. It does have at least one omission, though. It lists the Cubs as having gray road jerseys from 1973-77. But in reality, that model was in place from 1973-75. The Cubs wore powder blue road jerseys in 1976 and '77. These were worn before the Cubs switched to the powder blue pinstripes in '78.
