Shift

When using the shift, is it really effective against pull hitters? I mean, does OOTP factor in the defensive adjustment? What about switch hitters that pull? Does OOTP factor in that they are pulling right if they are batting that way? I need to know because I use the shift a lot and I need to know if it's worth it.

Like real life baseball you should probably try it and decide from the results.
