Purging Data

I imported a game from ootp14 and it has been purging data for a couple of hours now. Its still purging players (151,000+). How long does this process usually take?

Uh, is it finished yet? I'm not being a wise-acre; I'm just curious. Also, I will spare you the usual commentary about the strength and health of your computer, etc.

It did finish. I think it was because I started in 2013 and its in 2025. So a lot of history and players.

That's only 12 years. I have purged after 90 years w 4 minors, and it takes a while, but a reasonable time for the purge.
How many teams and minors?

I don't know exactly his reason, but if you have a lot of deleted players, coaches, or teams, the purge gets red of those records. It lowere the league file size considerably.

Just deleted players and other stuff? So it's like a recycle bin that never gets emptied unless you purge?

sort of, but emptying it also means rearranging all the stuff that is not getting thrown out and can sometimes be problematic.....player ID's get changed, for instance......

The only upside to doing a purge is a smaller file size......until the size of the file becomes an issue, there is no reason to attempt a purge.....
