Stadium capacity

How do I change it so it stays as a permanent number? When I do change it, it resets back to the number it was before I changed it by the end of the current season.

Not exactly sure the problem you are having, but I'm guessing you are entering a new seating capacity in the ballpark editor and it goes back to what it was when you leave the screen.

You need to hit "ENTER" after imputing a number in the box.

Something wrong there because hitting enter is not required when changing seating capacity. I have never had a problem changing them and having them stick.

If the league is a historical league wouldn't the capacity change if you have auto expand on? Or is it automatically import financials? I know checking one of those makes the league update stadium capacities according to history and therefore personal changes would probably get wiped. Just guessing here.

The game imports the ballparks for each year and whatever is listed as the capacity in the era_ballparks.txt file will be imported.

So, essentially I would have to check and change capacity every season?

If you are using historical teams and don't want the actual capacity....

You could edit that file. I don't think it gets loaded at startup; I think it is read when needed, but I am not certain.

If I edited the file I would be afraid I would screw the file up. Not worried if I have to edit before every season. I just have to remind myself to look every season.

Any time you edit a file, always make a copy of the original to edit/work on.

Back up the original

Then you can screw the copy up all you want and not have to worry
