Almanac/Box Score confusion

My league is set to save box scores for all major leagues and I have my almanac settings such that the entire row next to my one major league is checked, and in the specific report window I have selected all reports.

However, when the almanac files are moved, the box score folder is always empty.

This is a slightly different question (or maybe gripe) but I'm frustrated by how much clicking it takes to get to the game results for the postseason. Why isn't there a postseason summary page somewhere that gives box scores for each game (similar to the postseason pages on baseball reference?).

Anyway, can anyone help with my missing box scores?

Seems that if I manually generate the almanac after the end of the year, everything goes fine. Is there a timing issue with the automatic almanac generation? The auto one seems to happen on December 31st, but the manual one I did came from mid-November.

Annoying if I have to do this by hand each year. I'm trying to sim out a bunch of years to build some history and don't want to have to baby-sit it....

I can't be the _only_ person on this board who wants to save boxscores via the almanac. Anyone have experience with this who can tell me if I'm just doing it wrong or if this is a bug I should go report somewhere else?
