Minor League Free Agents

Did the minor league free agent issue get fixed in OOTP 15?

For the last several versions of this game, if you play with the financials off, as I prefer, any player who joins an independent minor league team is stuck there forever, unless I "act as" the minor league team and release him.

At one point, several versions ago, the player became a minor league free agent after a certain number of years (default was 6).

There have been prior threads on this issue by me and others, but it was never addressed.

I will upgrade to OOTP 15 if this issue has been fixed.

The independent minors are treated financially as a major league.

Why not play with financials on?....it doesn't cost anything.....

You could then set your major league to reserve rules and never have to worry about money and set the independent minor leagues to have free agency.

Financials are better than no financials in your situation anyway. If you have independent minor leagues, you are having lots of minor league free agents. With no financials, it's just first come first serve on who signs them. With financials every AI team and you will get a crack at them.
