Will the phoreigners EVER be phixed?

OOTP15. Eight-team league, in 8 different mid-level baseball countries (South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Guatemala, Aruba, Chile, England, Germany). Set for "No foreigners allowed", based on "team nationalities". So, if I fill the league with fictional players, there should be 25 Chileans on the Chile team, 25 Germans on the German team, etc. Right?

No. Instead I get 25 players, from everywhere BUT the country in question...which are placed on the reserve roster, since they don't qualify for the active roster.

This has been a problem for YEARS now. Nobody can identify the problem. Nobody can fix it. Either I'm doing something very wrong, or it's STILL screwed-up. And nobody gives a good goddamn.

Ridiculous.

The way I work around this is to release all players and do a draft, so that these teams can only pick players from their own country, but I agree with you that this needs to be fixed.

I totally agree it can be very frustrating. My first post with this new forum account was about suggesting a slider for setting preferences for signing foreign players.

Speaking reasonably, changes for this probably cannot be expected until the next version but I am sure if there is a way to code it, the development team here will find it.

Does that work? Or are you saying that you manually do the draft?

Also, for the OP if you have reserve rosters on, check in there. I have found leagues where all the natives end up on the reserve roster for some reason.

I haven't tried it in 15, but it's worked for me for every other version from 10 on by letting the game do the draft. As long as you make sure they can only have players from their own country, they'll only pick players from their own country.
