Dumb Question

Got a dumb one for y'all. Whenever you load a historical league in the 70's, Candlestick park loads with artificial turf. For the life of me, I can't remember that stadium with turf. Then again, I may not have watched a game in that stadium until cable made it to Shields Michigan, which was somewhere around 1980. Did Candlestick have artificial turf?

It had turf at the time, yes.

See here. Wikipedia says it had artificial turf from 1970 to 1978.

I didn't realize Candlestick had turf either, I only remember it with grass. But I didn't start following baseball until the late 70's anyway as I was only born in '72...good to know!! :-)

I've been a Giants fan for a couple of decades now and I didn't realize they had turf once until a couple of years ago, either.
