This game is going to ruin my life

I can't believe I had never heard of or tried OOTP baseball until now. This game is incredible! I forsee my wife not liking it very much though!

As a side note, I'm playing my first season, and my catcher has been injured for a second time by a runner steamrolling him on a play at the plate. I thought MLB rules changed to disallow plowing into the catcher?

She won't. Mine didn't. We're divorced.

I play OOTP all the time now!

Look on the bright side. OOTP won't spend your hard-earned money on shoes and handbags, and it will never cheat on you.

My wife likes OOTP because it keeps me from doing other things she likes less. She also likes to pronounce it as if it's an actual word, rather than an acronym. "Ootp!" she'll say.

It took a few years, but my wife came to the same conclusion after review the lifestyles of some of her friend's husbands. I have also learned to manage my addiction better giving myself strict limits. When I say I'll just sim one more week, I mean it, even if my catcher gets injured again...

Exactly! You're not out in bars or strip joints. You're home sitting in a chair where she can see you, and she can tell that you're not doing anything objectionable on the Internet.

My wife is fine with OOTP. Of course, it swings like Tarzan, too.

That conjures up a mind picture that I just don't want to see.

I do apologize. Just wanted to let the oppressed know there is hope.

I'm new to OOTP. (125 hours played so far.) But I'm addicted. I have it MADE!! I don't work, and my wife does.

I'm sitting in a Penthouse suite above the inner harbour in Victoria BC watching boats ferries and seaplanes go about their business. We have a balcony bigger than my house! I'm playing OOTP while waiting for my wife to finish getting her manicure and hair done for a family wedding tomorrow. The rain has stopped and the sky is clearing. The ferry to Port Angeles is just leaving. We will go for a drive up the coast later.

Life is very good right now.

I hope you don't mind a personal question but, is your wife happily married, do you think? If not, would you PM me with her contact information? Thanks.

Not married. I can play ootp on pc while playing mlb: the show on ps4 and listening to a game on the radio and no one can complain but my cat. He doesn't seem to care.
