Youngster contract

Hello guys im still in my long learning curve...lol


Ive got some young guns with the following contract: 525,000$ 2014 (minimum)
Whats the minimum for? Whats the delay i have to sign them?


For the older ones its pretty clear cause it says 2014 free-agent, so i HAVE to resign them to not loose them.

It is the minimum a player can be paid at the ML level.

If you are using the default settings:
The 1st 3 years (sort of) a player is on the ML roster are at the minimum salary. The next 3 years salaries are determined through arbitration unless you sign a contract extension to "buy them out".

To find out the specific "delay" for a player you look in their profile. Select Contract Status? I think. It is on the top left of the profile.
Bottom right is a box. In the box you will see ML service (this is different than Pro Service).
It will tell you how many years the player has accrued towards free agency. Free agency happens after the 6th year.
