Beware of Cheating Owners

Commissioners of other OOTP leagues,

We have encountered a few owners who attempted to defraud the league I am in, the No Strike Basebal League (NSBL). These individuals attempted to "stock" one team by either misrepresenting themselves as "several" different people or via collussion between 2 or more owners. I have seend several of these individuals either as members in other leagues, attempting to find another league to join or attempting to start their own, some actually using the exact same user ID on this message board that they had in the NSBL.

If you are interested in any information on these individuals, let me know.

I think it wouldn't hurt to post your findings in here.. and expose their names if the evidence is overwhelming.

EDIT: The only way we as commissioners are going to "slow" cheating down is by letting the other commish's know who the cheaters are.

I checked out the message board to find out exactly what was going on. I think if people want to find out who the cheater(s) is/are, they should just go check out your league's message board, rather than posting who they are on the forum, since that kind of posting will most likely lead to a flame war of some kind, since people never take to being outed as a cheater well. Nonetheless, it is a very interesting saga that sadly had to happen to your league.

I love how in one thread he's asking to join as the owner of a team, and then another one of his handles tells him he's got a PM with a trade offer if he gets in the league... classic!

sorry that your league had to deal with this, Michael, but I can't help but laugh when reading through the posts...

another great one where he accidently posts a massive playoff preview under the wrong handle and then uses his most used handle to claim that he indeed wrote that and the guy that posted it was only supposed to proofread it not post it... this is too much
