postseason troubles

the problem actually happened in ootp13, but we have upgraded the league to 15 and before we just accept it and move forward, as we are prepared to do, I figured i'd ask.

is there any way for us to edit in the champion in or do we have to live with a lost champion in the record books?

what happened was we expanded the playoff to 6 teams this season and while I thought I had set it up to format the seeding's correctly I can only assume some form of human error on my part screwed it up so when the playoffs started the best team in the league was playing in the play-in series. apparently it was too late to make any changes (remember this was in 13) because no matter what I did the game wouldn't change it's playoff structure. so we ran it manually, player stats get kept and we know who won.

and a second thought/question. I guess I have to disable the playoffs and sim the couple days for it to register the off-season in order to move past the opening round of the playoffs the game still thinks we are in?
